I got this on my 17th birthday. My first watch was a Swatch so obviously when I started to consider my next watch, I started looking at Swatches.
I didn’t know what mechanical movement was before I found this watch. It felt like magic that I didn’t need to change batter but this could run in theory forever. I remember picking this from a store in Helsinki and the sales person asked if I knew that it’s normal this is not super accurate. I just lied that I knew it because I didn’t want to seem amateur. But the slight inaccuracy never mattered to me.
I’m glad I got this early into mechanical watches rather than getting some fashion watch because I might have done some bad purchases which I would have been embarrassed to wear later.
