I don’t remember the exact year but it was around 2009. My father bought this from a work trip. It was the basic Swatch watch and before that I never really wore a watch.
A lot of stuff aren’t carried around but I liked the idea that watch was always strapped to my wrist and I could see time from it. I had a phone at the time and never remember needing to know time and not seeing it somewhere but the idea of this kind of utility device made me excited.
I didn’t understand collecting watches or even consider getting a new one for years after this but just used it for pretty long and then there were maybe a few years when I didn’t wear it for some time.
I might not have ever gotten into watches without this so it’s really important. I got it once already changed when the handles fell off and now the rubber strap is breaking so I don’t anymore wear it.
