I was planning to spend a year traveling more and wanted to buy GMT watch for the trip. I wanted mechanical watch and I wanted brand new so it would be water tight and I wouldn’t need to worry about it so much. I looked a lot of different options but ended up getting this Vostok mainly because it was so cheap that I felt like I wouldn’t need to worry about accidentally breaking it and I also lived at the moment in Estonia which was occupied by the Soviets so it kind of felt appropriate connection.
This was great watch and I wore it a lot. It has been all over Europe with me and still looks almost brand new. It’s slightly bulky and sometimes even pushes my wrist when I twist it certain way but not too much to bother me.
Overall very reliable mechanical watch which I can wear anywhere.
